The National Communicable Disease Committee on Friday approved, in principle, the use of a biometric authentication system to monitor and manage migrant workers who enter the country illegally, posing risks of spreading communicable diseases to Thai communities.

In a collaboration with the DDC, the Division of AIDS and STIs, and the Office of the Global Fund Project Administration, TB screening is highlighted as critical step in reducing TB-related mortality among people living with HIV.
